Do not put water/drops into your ears when they are popping. You need to dry the liquid in your eustation tubes in your ears. You can do that with one 30mg generic sudafed every single morning until the popping is gone. Do not take sudafed in the late afternoon or evening, it will probably keep you awake as it has stimulant properties.

Please promise me you will not put ANYTHING in your ears unless a doctor has prescribed it for you.

One generic Claritin every night at bedtime and one 30mg Sudafed every morning should keep your ears from popping.

To keep your other cold symptoms from driving you crazy, you might want to take some Tylenol for aches/fever, and take one 4mg Chlortimetron (chlorpheneramine maleate) every 4 to 6 hours until your cold is gone. I don't like the long acting Chlortimetron, and recommend the 4mg variety.

CVS, Target, Walgreen, Wal-Mart, and most grocery stores sell generic sudafed, generic claritin and the 4 mg Chlortimetron.

I sure hope you feel better! Get well soon, hon.
