I have no input on where to get a used boat motor online, just remember, you get what you pay for.

Working in a boat dealership has it's advantages, and here's something I learned from my boss on buying a used boat motor -- keep in mind that you want to take it to have the compression checked before becoming too attached. If it's off by more than 10% on any cylinder, it's not worth it. (e.g. compression on one is 150, if another is more than 165 or less than 135, the motor's shot and it's not gonna last.)

Anyway, good luck.

in case you purchase new and confirm which you do unlike boating, you will take a large hit in depreciation whilst attempting to resell your boat. there are various solid used boats accessible on the industry. you will get allot greater boat on your earnings the used industry. My suggestion would be to purchase a low hour used boat from an excellent broking. stay remote from "less expensive" boats like Bayliner. Cobalt, Crownline, 4 Winns or Sea Ray would be a greater useful selection. additionally, counting on the quantity of open water (bigger wave means) you would be cruising, it quite is quite helpful to decide for a 20 or 22 ft for greater secure practices with the youngsters. solid success!!
