Good point. I don't personally believe in Global Warming because after doing some research, I found that temperatures on earth in the Medieval Times were 2-3 degrees warmer than they are today....And further research revealed that we came out of a mini ice age at the beginning of the 20th century...Plus, the sun does cause Global Warming because the radiation varies from century to century...How come no one tells us this stuff?
Yeah, about your question, because...Al Gore and the government doesn't want us to know? lol.

I didn't know the earth is being pulled closer to the sun. However, if it is, remember that the sun is 93 million miles away from the earth, so an inch is (relatively) a lot smaller than the proverbial "flea on an elephant."
It is true that the earth is warming (but only a tiny bit each year), but so is Mars. And the polar ice caps on Mars are melting just like ours are.
There is no definitive proof that global warming is caused by human activities, but if you look at the amount of pollutants we pump into the air each day, we either have or will contribute to the warming.
If we reduce the contaminants we pump into the air and later find they were not contributing to global warming, the earth will be a healthier planet. If we do not reduce our pollution and later find that it did contribute substantially to global warrming, we will be in very hot water (maybe even literally).
Global warming is an issue, but not the only one. We need to address the issue of ecological destruction, and no one can deny that man is responsible for it. Look at China: It's rivers (including the once mighty Yellow River) are drying up. Those that still have water are so polluted that even China's own scientists admit that the water is too dirty for human contact.
Please get on the train.

Because people need an easy answer. Honestly having people act in a more green way does help keep our planet cleaner. I don't think it would be wise to tell people we are moving closer to the sun because of mass panic it is easier to say don't drive your car etc. Get people to try and slow down the polution then realize there are other influences too. I wonder why no one brings up the fact that things like Katrina and the Tsunami the year before have an influence on the temperature as well the water that was spread out would warm up and evaporate quicker than in a large mass like the ocean. That evaporated water went some where. (there have been volcanic eruptions that have changed climate world wide for over a year). People also need to realize that we live on a changing planet just because there is a desert in Nevada does not mean it will remain a desert forever. In the history of the world the little we know shows climate shifts in the past(after all who has a dinosaur for a pet). maybe humans are not meant to be here forever we have already had a pretty long run.

First of all, REALLY? And second, that is not enough to affect our planet, really until in the long run. Then it might be unnoticeably hotter, but also keep in mind the reason it is being pulled closer is because in about 300,000 years the sun will blow up and pull all of the plaents in along with it, creating a massive supernova and completely vaporizing them all ^_^. (<----- true) But yeah, Global warming increases significantly becuase of our polution, not the earth getting closer an inch each year.

Considering an inch annually when the sun is over 92 Thousand miles from the Earth most of the year (astronomy class pays off, finally), I think your inch has less to do with global warming than perhaps the millions of cars milling about.
In Phoenix, though expectedly hot hot hot, I think the sun is not to blame for our resident yellow-brown haze. Something else is amiss.

So why did Global Warming start so late, after the Industrial Revolution, if ever since the earth was created it has been pulled closer to the sun every year?

I didnt know the earth is getting closer to the sun. I'll take your word for it. Humans do have a bad effect on nature though.Years ago my city was run down and my local state park was woods. My city has grown, and they had public deer hunts, and built roads, and benches, and soccer fields ect... ect... ectt...
Some human contribution to warming is obvious to a cyclist (me) because during the winter I can tailgate cars and it is warm behind them.
We all know that our summers are getting longer and hotter, and the snowlines are receding.
You say, why blame humans, and It is an intellegent question because we know that the blame game is all learned through our insane conditioning regulated by government.
SO I say, dont blame humans, there are only a few of us left, and we are paying the price for everything.

Human activities are easily contributing a minimum of partly to international climate substitute. there's no refuting the undeniable fact that people emit an insane quantity of carbons into the ambience. it particularly is documented in documents there's no refuting there's a correlation between too plenty carbon in the ambience and greenhouse effect. technology proves this. i don't see how every physique can say human activities are not inflicting a minimum of the distinctive climate substitute. That stated, I additionally renowned the undeniable fact that the Earth has and maintains to bypass with the aid of organic warming and cooling ranges. I additionally understand there are organic pollution (volcanoes) that make a contribution to international warming. I understand this. All i'm saying is people do have an impression, be it small or huge. And as such, we ought to consistently be greater conscious and actively attempt to maintain our ecosystem. We owe it to the plant life and animals we proportion this Earth with, besides as to our destiny generations.

Politics, that is why my Friend. Global warming is caused because of what you said. Also did you know that in recent times the temperature on mars has been rising at the same rate as the Earth. People like Al Gore just want to get people to support them because of what they say. People will listen to Al Gore. But global warming is not our fault it is strictly politics

global warming that's being blamed on humans isn't necessarily meaning that we're getting closer, although yes i know we are getting closer to it. global warming is being caused by the bad emitents being released into the atmosphere. aerosol sprays, co2 emissions and other harmful fumes deplete the ozone layer warming our earth causing our ice caps to melt.
