find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day

have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.

When trying to lose weight, it's important to set goals (realistic ones). Try to work on losing 1-2 pounds per week for example.
Avoid eating junk food and fast foods by all means (they are high in fat!). Eat fresh fruits as a healthy alternative. Also, be sure to exercise four about 30 - 60 mins a day. Count calories if you can.
there are foods and supplements to go with your diet that can help you lose weight. For more information and tips, visit http://www.realhomeremedies.com . Click on the weight loss link on the left.

The best way I can help you is to suggest a website I use. It's www.calorie-count.com Be sure to do the walkthrough, so you can see all the things they have. It's a free site. You log your weight, height, age, etc. It will calculate how many calories you should be eating each day to lose weight in a healthy manner. They also have an activity log, so you can see how many calories you burn doing a variety of activities - even watching tv. They have a furrum where people talk about their personal problems (someone always has suggestions)...there seem to be quite a few teens who use the site. You can get recipe ideas, exercize tips...encouragement. I hope to see you there.

Losing weight is a simple equation: if you burn more calories than you eat, the weight will come off. Start off by estimating how many calories you burn each day using the calorie calculator http://straighthealth.com/pages/tools/caloriecalclb.html This will give you an idea of how many calories to eat. Healthy weight loss is 1-2 pounds per week. To lose 1 pound per week you need to create a calorie deficit (burn more than you eat) of 500 calories per day. To lose 2 pounds a week, you have to double the deficit to 1000 calories per day. You can achieve this by eating less, exercising more or a combination of both.
