Those who died under the Old Law (Old Testament) will be judged by the old laws. The example of the thief on the cross is fitting here. First, the thief was a Jew. He was one of God's chosen people under the Old Testament (Genesis 12:1-3; Deuteronomy 7:6-8). He was born into a covenant relationship with God. Therefore, he was already a child of God. But he was a child of God who had strayed into sin. He only needed to repent and he would be forgiven. The case of the thief is the same as that of several other Jews whose sins were forgiven by the Lord when He was on the earth (Mark 2:1-12; Luke 7:36-50; Luke 19:1-10). We today do not live under the Old Testament law. We live under the law of Christ. The Old Testament law was "nailed to the cross" (Colossians 2:14). This means that it ceased to be God's law to govern His people at the time Jesus died. "For the priesthood being changed, of necessity there is also a change of the law" (Hebrews 7:12). Paul wrote to the Galatians: "...the law was our tutor to bring us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But after faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor" (Galatians 3:24, 25). If anyone is saved today, it must be according to the conditions found in the New Testament.

God had a different covenant with people before the time of Christ. As such, there were commandments and guidelines that were either not followed beforehand that were than required or vice versa. In the end, though, it has ALWAYS been about accepting God, living by His commandments, and accepting His forgiveness and grace into your life.
It would also be more correct if you think not of fairness which is a strongly human trait but of justice in God's eyes. This is because humans are easily corruptible and therefore their perception of fairness is highly distorted. God, however, is ALWAYS just according to His Word which confuses man at times.

Those who died before Jesus Christ died for our sins are sleeping in death. They will be resurrected back to life on earth and given the opportunity to get to know God and Jesus Christ so that they can make a choice. The Scriptures say that the wages of sin is death, so once you die, the sins you committed are paid for. So when your resurrected, you will be judged on what you do during Christ's thousand year reign. The majority of people don't go to heaven but receive everlasting life on earth like Adam and Eve and all their descendants would have had had they not sinned. A small flock has been chosen to go to heaven to rule with Jesus Christ as associate kings over the earth. They will bring the earth and obedient mankind back to perfection. Bible Scripture is clear, No one has ascended to heaven but he that descended from heaven. That means until Christ's death, resurrection, and ascension to heaven, no one went there at all.

First Jesus died for you. To take your sins away. in case you suffered, and no individual believed you.does no longer that make you unhappy? All he requested in go back become to believe him,and stick with his regulations. at the same time as your a real Christian his regulations are not to any extent further complicated to adhere to. Infact you delight in following them. i recognize I do. also the priority with God doing that.Having people pass to heaven for there astounding works. does no longer be honest. Sapposed some one did some sturdy issues. Then some one did a pair more beneficial. Then some one did plenty. sturdy, more beneficial ideal, and astounding. Then Jesus continually picked the astounding one.then what about those that did do a touch sturdy deeds?we are kept by utilising grace.no longer works. Then faith with out deeds is ineffective.this is grace that saves us.this is deeds that shows our faith.we may be able to no longer do what's ideal on our own.it truly is why we've Jesus to assist us. :)

Salvation worked on a system of animal sacrifice before the crucifiction. Jesus, a human, was the ultimate sacrifice and relieved people of needing to sacrifice animals for future salvation. As long as blood has been spilt, the god of the Christians is happy... because he is all loving, and there's nothing more loving that death and blood spilled blood.

That is what the Mosaic sacrifice of lambs was all about. It was a ritual that looked forward to the coming of the Christ. God's people who lived prior to life of Jesus were saved the same way those who lived after His coming. By grace through faith in the sacrifice of His Son. The only difference is that they were looking forward to it and we are looking back on it.

Romans 2:13-16
For it is not those who hear the law who are righteous in God's sight, but it is those who obey the law who will be declared righteous. (Indeed, when Gentiles, who do not have the law, do by nature things required by the law, they are a law for themselves, even though they do not have the law, since they show that the requirements of the law are written on their hearts, their consciences also bearing witness, and their thoughts now accusing, now even defending them.) This will take place on the day when God will judge men's secrets through Jesus Christ, as my gospel declares.

Before Chirst came to earth people got to Heaven the same way we do today FAITH, the only thing different is they look forward to the Cross, believing by faith that the Saviour was coming. We look back at the Cross by faith believing that He came.

If you read the Bible you will learn that people who lived before Christ were judged based on the law of the Old Testament. Christ came and the old law was done away with and faith in Him replaced it.

Because believing in Jesus means all your sins, past, present and future are already forgiven.
Before Jesus died, sins were forgiven by animal sacrifices.
You either believe in Jesus or kill cattle.
And the price of beef these days... Sheesh!
