Have you been on Mars for the last 4 years ?? Iraq is a mess !! Everytime soldiers clear 1 area another is occupied and so on. It is a never ending circle. The sectarianism is out of control Tanks can't stop sectarianism. IRAQ IS A NO-WIN SITUATION.

Because CNN is part of the main stream media. And as many people know, the main stream media will only report the negative news about what is going on in Iraq and other areas as well. They bypass lots of good news to get to the bad news they want, so they can exaggerate it, distort it then report it. Rev Jackson would like that one! In fact, the main stream media is sort of a fictional news outlet. It does not report on facts but rather for political gains and with a (how can we make this story much more than what it really is or how can we make news out of nothing or how can we make what this feller look bad for doing the same thing this other feller did a few years ago without making the other feller look bad too). Some call it propaganda!

Because it's a TV station and this is what gets them ratings.

When the war started and everyone was fired up and excited, the media were following that line, the pro-war line. Now that most of their viewers are anti-war, they're showing more of the anti-war sentiment. It's more effective for them to show footage (and it's often the same footage, over and over) of Marines crying because that's what their demographic wants to see. Their demographic does not want to see soldiers who are saying, "We're doing good things. We're making a difference." because that doesn't fit the point of view they're trying to portray on their network.

Wow, every military man I have ever run across expresses his absolute devotion to the fight but regrets being away from home. Catch a kid when he is scared... and then exploit it would be the way of the treasonous CNN.
Give us a link next time.

Because war sucks. There has even been scientific studies that prove that going to war and seeing everything they see really does brain damage. Then to make it worse, if you do have a mental break down they don't/or can't, only the Thereapist based in Iraq knows, help them. Plus there are many platoons who have been there longer than estimated. Have you heard of Operation Desert Storm, my father went with the Navy to Iraq for that in 1990-1991. They estimated to be there for 2 months and then be rotated, they spent 8 months or something there. Imagine spending 2 years in a desert with no luxuries and stuff and on top of that have the mental damage from watching your friends and innocent people be killed.

My guess is that the only people who watch the Communist News Network are people who hate America and want to encourage the terrorists, so they show the weakest among us.

You ever lost your best friend? Someone you relied on to save your life? I doubt it. When someone loses a brother or sister, they cry. I served with men who were closer to me than my own family during my 20 years. Their death was like losing a member of my own family.

Could it come from watching video of their commander in chief dancing and playing the drums while their brothers in arms are serving missions wearing inadequate protection and riding in haphazard transportation?

Why don't you enlist, go to Iraq, and find out?
I have NEVER seen or heard a Marine say that.

You claim you were in Vietnam? How would you like to be asked why you LOST??

marines aren't whiners.
but anyone who doesn't cry when they lose their best friends and their country is criticizing them has no feelings at all.
quit picking on our military and get out there and do something yourself.
