Their spirits are already gone to be with Jesus, and blessedness. They don't get new bodies until either Millenium or End of the age.
As for atheists, their spirits have also gone, but although one might hope that God will somehow manage to pluck some of them from their gaoling, if He can find a legal reason, they with others (inc sadly most people deceived by false prophets like Mohammed) will be gaoled until the Last Judgement in Sheol (thats my take; but I've never fully checked the particulars - the most important thing is to make sure you are going to glory not condemnation ... believe ON THE LORD JESUS and you will be saved.)

I have a great idea. Why don't you just go belly up in the fish tank, then let us know what does or doesn't lie ahead?

They are going somewhere alright......... just not what the place they were fooled into believing.
