22 is not THAT young, my brother got married to his first love at 20 and they're doing great, just had a baby. You should make the decision you'll be happiest with and don't listen to people who don't know the ins and outs of your relationship. Marriage is a lot of work especially in the beginning you have to be strong enough, in love enough and committed enough to make it work and respect each other no matter what. Through thick and thin! Just do yourself a favor and make sure you have nothing to do with writing the invitations because you can't spell! LOL

I think you should marry your girlfried if you really love her 22 is not to young to grt married. You only go around once in this world and you should grab all the joy in life you can. Iam 63 and also getting maried to my 35 year old gf. You can guess what people say about that just go for it trust me you will not regret it if you are really in love. You are the one who has to live your life not your friends or anybody else. I wish you good luck. Ronald S

First, you learn to spell properly if you want anyone to take you seriously - if YOU don't take the time to communicate clearly, why should anyone else take the time to answer helpfully?

Secondly, realize that while love is the most important ingredient in a marriage, it isn't the only one. More is needed to maintain a successful relationship. You need to plan ahead and make sure you can communicate openly and effectively with her. It might settle everyone's concerns if you enroll in pre-marital counseling together. (Check with your church or the phone book to find a qualified counselor near you.) A trained counselor can help you identify the strengths and weakenesses of your relationship, and help you address potentially disastrous issues long before they arise. For example, you might ASSUME that she wants to have kids and will be happy to stay home to raise them... but perhaps she doesn't, or has changed her mind since you last talked about it. Perhaps she has expectations of you that you aren't aware.

Put int he time to settle these problems NOW, instead of naively assuming that love will carry you through all shipwrecks.

Just be careful and make sure you know what you are getting into. I am 22 and have been divorced for a year. I loved him more than anything but once we got married, he changed his mind. Just make sure and think everything through and know the real reason you are getting married. If it's love, it will be around forever. No need to rush it if everything is not completely right.

With marriage comes respondsibility. Do you have a place to live? Do you have a job? Can you and your girlfriend support yourselves financially? Can you make a workable budget and stick to it? Including insurance, savings, and everything else?
Most churches offer pre-marital counseling. Sign up for this class. It will teach you about areas of common disputes with couples and how to compromise and fight fairly.
Getting married is tough on many levels, it's not just about living with the girl you love. If you can sacrifice for the good of you both, you are ready.

Follow your heart. If you believe that you are old enough to make this decision, go for it! It's going to be your life and you should make these important decisions. If you truly feel right about this, then get married! My parents got married at 22 and are still the happiest couple I know.

Go with your heart & how you feel about her. Nobody knows what you feel because they aren't you. If you know that its right for you...go for it. What is good for you might not be for some people so, they really can't relate. My grandparents married when they were 18 & 21 & it worked for over 30 years until my grandfather passed. I truly believe that it doesn't matter what the age...it matters how much you love the person & really if you think its right in your heart. Good Luck!

okay, well it kinda depends how long you've been dating. I made a promise to my parents like when i was 10 that i would have to date the guy for at least 2-6 years before marrige, (and have to be 24-whenever for age) and have to be married to him for 3-5 years before kids. (and have to be 28-whenever, that way i know i don't need divorce) I think that even though u may or may not have made this promise, i think that u should date him for at least 2-6 years, that way ur sure u don't have to divorce, cause its really hard to go through, my parents got divorced when i was 5 and my brother was only 1 year. plus they tell me how terrible it is. I think u should have at least dated him for 2-6 years. but its ur choice.

Anyyone who writes as poorly as you do is too young to get married. Will you still love her in a few years? Why not wait? Are you ready to have children together? Can you support them? Again, why not wait? Are you trying to prove something tot he people who say you are too young (I hope not)? Are you worried she will change her mind? (if so, more reason to wait).
