The apartment owners are concern because pitbulls are mean it does not matter on how they are trained/socialized.they can attack anyone/anything.The landlords do not want to be responsible if the dog hurts anyone. It is just common sense.Sorry!

I am very worried with your new baby.It could be dangerous with the pitbull and the baby.

Think first of the baby's safety. If the pitbull hurts the baby you would be in alot of legal problems, jail and you could lose your kids.IS THAT WHAT YOU WANT!!!!

Do some research and you will understand what I am saying!

Good luck. It is very hard to find an apartment that will let you have a dog bigger than 40lbs, let alone a pit bull. They, along with other breeds, have a bad reputation. Even though this reputation is wrong, for the most part, an apartment owner won't want to take that chance.

Stop listening to people who think pitbulls are bad, they make great dogs....any dog can be aggressive depending on how they are raised.
Hope you find an apt where you can keep your dog...

You might find some info on this site:

Try a google search with 'pet friendly apartments, portland', turns up some good links.

I do not live in portland, but YOu will have a very hard time in finding one due to the "Awful Reputation" that the Pit Bull has. I have one myself and I am a father of 2 girls, and we live in one too. But nobody knows. I really have no advice for you but I honestly do wish you the best of luck. She will be a great companion and will love your baby.

Pit bull terriers are good dogs until the day they're not. Sorry, if your dog doesn't like your child, it's like keeping a loaded weapon in your apartment within reach of the kid.

Get rid of the dog.

Get rid of the dog, sweety. It is not good thing to hang onto something that keeps you from doing what you need to do.
