Hi there. Well, I have had my tongue and nose pierced, a labret put in and most recently did my eyebrow. In my experience I would say the eyebrow piercing hurt the least and the labret hurt the most. However about a day after I got the eyebrow pierced a purple streak appeared on my eyelid and over the course of the next couple days turned into a big black eye. The black eye cleared up within a week or so and the piercing itself took a while to heal (I would suggest getting a hoop at first so you can move it around to clean it easier). Once it has healed you can change out the rings as often as you like, but at first you want something that will help it "breathe" so it can heal faster. I haven't taken out my bar so I don't know about the scarring.

If you are a young person ( below age 30), consider that as you mature you will surely change your outlook and perspective on many things and very probably piercings.
If part of the desire for a piercing is for it to be seen as a badge of tribal membership. By that I mean signifying that your down with those that display eyebrow or lip piercings. Think why the membership in that Tribe requires such thing?
Isn't your character and personality enough? Piercings are generally prone to infection and the visible eyebrow and lip piercings will severely limit your employment opportunities.
If you do remove the piercing, the former piercing sites do leave nasty scars. How about trying a clip-on lip ring for a while to see if it suits you before making a hole in your face?
Good luck. I say do it if you really believe that in 20 years you will still feel the same way. But, I suspect like so many I have dealt with, you will remove the piercing, regret the nasty scar and hope that surgery or make-up will be enough to cover up the scarring.

Yes, it hurts a little bit...as any piercing will.
Yes, you can change it as often as you like, after it's healed and with clean hands.
Healing time varies but generally it's completely healed within a couple months.
Yes, it will leave a permanent scar and remember...facial skin sags and wrinkles as you age, the added weight of jewelry will add to that, which means the hole will stretch out over time simply due to aging.
I have peircings myself but will never peirce any part of my face.

it doesn`t hurt at all..i have mine done & it was very quick & painless...after your piercing heals, which can take several months if not longer, u can change the jewelry whenever u want...sure, it will leave a scar, but if u are careful & follow the after-care procedures, u will lessen the chance of any problems, thus minimizing scarring...

Ok. So it hurts but not bad at all.A little tough to push through though, A nice pop at the end. It does scar. Usually just to little hole dots on the skin. It took mine about a moonth to heal and then you can change rings easily! Just watch combing your hair at first. OUCH lmfao. Hope this helps>
