Your washing a litltle too much. Use a recommended aftercare product or A&D ointment. NOT PETROLEUM JELLY OR NEOSPORIN. Petroleum clogs the pores and neosporin heals too fast. After 5-7 days, use an unscented lotion until fully healed.
Don't pick or scratch. Wear unrestrictive shoes...

You are washing it a bit much...once a day is fine....
you gotta be careful when you put lotion on it because stuff can get stuck on it (it is on your foot...not the cleanest part of your body) so make sure there isn't anything over it that could hurt it in any way when you are rubbing in the lotion (little stones...hair...whatever, like I said...it can get messy).
I would suggest you put on a thick coat of lotion every time you apply it and just let it dry...
I have a tattoo on my right foot and let me tell ya....buying shoes, is a whole different story now!!!! it's amazing and I absolutely love it!!!!!

hmmm i have a foot tattoo also... what i did for the first three days is NOT wash it at all... keep it covered for the first 24hours especially if you shower... then use baby ointment (like for diaper rash) on it for three days. after three days, then start using lotion. always keep in moisturized... carry the baby ointment with you and use it any time you see the tattoo losing it's shine. same goes for when you use the lotion.

it is okay, there shouldn't be an excessive amount of lotion left over. just apply lotion after every wash and don't wear shoes for the full 2 weeks of healing.

yes normal. I dont use any lotion for the first few days, to let the tattoo "self heal" they seem to heal faster, and look better when all said and done. I use Cruel NON FRAGRANCE lotion otherwise.

yes. its fine just make sure that you dont wear any shoes or socks that can rub against it. and dont pick or scratch at it when it starts to scab over. washing it 3 times daily is a bit much. i would just do it once daily while you are in the shower. dont let it soak in the water. and dont scrub. if it itches pat it dont scratch it.
