I am a mother of 3 children. as far as the baby not taking the breast because you are at work, the baby is probably used to taking a bottle(which I am figuring your pumping your milk into a bottle). not that big of a deal, babies get used to taking certain nipples. concerning a period, as long as your pumping your milk, same as breast feeding your periods will not come, or be very light. If you have chicken pox your baby will get them, weather your breast feeding or pumping your milk into a bottle. STOP !!!! unless you want baby to get chicken pox. If is chicken pox, you will see a rash under arms, breast, any sweaty spots.. GOOD LUCK.

Do not stop breastfeeding - the baby will get your antibodies!

Chicken pox starts as small red spots, usually on the trunk of the body (belly and back) and spreading to other parts. They turn to small water blisters in a day or two. New spots can appear for four to six days - it's possible to have all the stages of chicken pox at once. After the water blisters, they turn cloudy, then they open, and then they scab. You are contagious until EVERY SINGLE spot is scabbed over! Some people have fever, possibly body aches and sore throat, and the spots can be itchy.

Since chickenpox can be harmful to an adult, you need to call your doctor ASAP. Worry more about YOU than your baby, it's not a bad thing if he gets it at this age.

Your baby will most likely not get teh chicken pox if that is what it is breast milk contain very good nutrients, and healthy thigns for the baby. IF your baby gets the chicken pox it will be better for the both of you. IT sounds more liek mono, so check your throat if there are withe puss balls back there it is definately mono,na dif you catch pink eye do not be surprised another side effect to mono. Your baby probably will not get that either simple anitbiodix, and plyus you have to take steriods if it gets too out of hand so hurry uo and get blood work doen your whie blood count isoff you have mono

Sounds like chicken pox. especially the watery spots & sore throat. When you itch them and they pop they are very contageous so don't itch. If you do, wash your hands well. Use calomine lotion for itch. Take benedryl or use benedryl cream (if it is ok w/ breastfeeding) I would go to a walk in clinic right away and find out. I don't know about the breastfeeding & chicken pox.

Please consult the Mayo Clinic website below for information on chicken pox. Call you pediatrician regarding nursing... I suspect that you should continue nursing as your baby would get antibodies.
