I was thinking of getting this as a tattoo. It is my daughter's hand. Any input?

I think that would be a great tattoo. Its such a beautiful picture, its art in its self. Her hand is just as delicate as the flower she is holding. It would make the most unique tattoo and that is what you want when you get a tattoo. You don't want anything that anyone else will have. I would do it just like it is, no color. I love that sepia tone. See if the artist could replicate those tones for you, if not then a black and gray would look great too. Its going to make an amazing tattoo and she will love it just as much as you do. Good Luck!!

The intent is cool, but as I understand it photorealism is tricky with tattoos. There are talented artists out there who can give you an idea of what you can & can't do.
Do you have an artist to work with yet? I'd be curious how they'd proceed on something like this. I promise I'm not trying to dissuade you, I just don't think this is something that, if it can be done, will be cheap.
Of course, I'm not an artist of any kind, so take that with a grain of salt.

Very cool! Before actually getting it tattooed on you, have the tattoo artist draw it for you so you can get a better idea of what it will look like as a tattoo.

Hey I tattoo and that's one of the nieces picture i have seen and you should go for it and don't think about it that's your baby girl and she would always be yours. I have tattoo people with there kids hand and different way and you know i really think that's some thing special cause she would always be by your side. GO FOR IT.

that would be a very cool tattoo if done by the right artist. please note that NOT EVERY TATTOO ARITST IS TALENTED!!! many people don't realize that most artists can't pull off portraits of any kind. look at portfolios and be very picky about who you get to do it. if you're not impressed by the work, keep looking.

Just make sure you find a licensed tattoo artist that specializes in photo-realistic work and has lots of similar work to show you from his/her portfolio.

I think that is VERY cool! You would forever remember the size of her hand when she was a child & also the day the pic was taken.

It's very nice, although it would spend some time.
I think getting the flower to be a bit bigger than the hand would be nice.
