My husband's a Medic in the Army. He loves his job and is the best at it. Medics train alot and have to keep their certifications current. The best part, there is always opportunity for advancement. My Medic is on his way to becoming a Physician's Asst. Check with your recruiter, they may be able to bring you in with a little rank and ask for any bonuses! Good Luck with whatever you choose!

Become an Intel Analyst instead like I did. The job is alot more relaxed and safe, and you get alot more opportunities to move up. Also, Ft. Huachuca is a very "fun" place to attend AIT. Lots of stuff goes on there than may interest you, if you catch my drift. Not a bad place to go to AIT at. Great weather, cute guys, nice mountains... What more could a girl ask for?

They can have an interesting job, or very boring. Some get assigned to a military hospital and work as pre-screener... stuff like taking patients BP and temp, cleaning up after... whatever.

They can also be assigned to specific units. They are the ones that actually go out on patrols with their units. They are responisble for the immediate first-aid of their unit. It's more Army-ish. And you do get a weapon.

if its unlikely to be a discomfort in the *** to get ordinary returned into scientific college, choose for it. it is going to place you way above your friends, surprisingly whilst it includes trauma medicine. you have your national registry actual? which will knock off like 6 weeks of medic college, all the quicker you will get on your unit. in case you do flow 68W however, i could tremendously propose getting airborne and selection 40 on your contract. in case you graduate airborne college you will flow to a attempt against unit. perchance no longer unavoidably to the infantry, yet you would be in a attempt against brigade atleast. in case you bypass RIP then you definitely'll flow to regiment. medics on the line get the main experience and the proper preparation. basically some issues you should comprehend a pair of few above posts: thre are not any medics in the marines, they use the corpsmen from the army. medics are extra constructive knowledgeable in attempt against and trauma medicine, corpsmen are extra constructive knowledgeable in a hospitol putting. which might you somewhat have at your factor in a firefight? and **** going reserves, in case you opt to get something medically fairly worth mutually as on your carreer, flow energetic and flow to the line. in case you flow to the reserves the proper you are able to desire to finally finally end up in is the CSH..the place you will carry litters and empty mattress pans all day. on the line you will do each little thing from going out with the infantry adult adult males to working a trauma table. as a medic, you wont get a raffle to do surgical methods or chest tubes and what no longer everywhere else in the army, different than with the line. dont flow NG however, one weekend a month isnt adequate time to stay proficient at your activity, final factor you choose is to purchase it via fact some fool NG medic loaded you up morphine even however your airway advance into 0.5 burned close and you had a hemo thorax

It sounds like a good idea to me. I volunteered for service in the Army. I think everyone should serve.

that's a great idea. You go out on the battlefield without a weapon and scrap up some poor soul full of bullet holes and try to drag him to safety while trying to hold his blood in.
they usually have a very short life span so be sucidial first.
