I didn't fear Falwell. I feared what would happen to my civil rights as a Pagan bi woman if enough people listened to him and the other self-appointed leaders who believe like him. I still do. I don't care about eternity....not really. I believe in something after, but we all only have an educated guess. For the first time, Falwell really does know more than I do, really. I think about this life, and fear effects on this life, which is the only one I know. I resist those, not God or people who believe they speak for Him.

Wait, who'd fear a geriatric nut-case with an overgrown ego? His followers give me the creeps, but that's pretty normal when faced with fanaticism and blind conformance.

The only thing I found scary about him was the fact that lots of elderly gullible people used to send him money that they couldn't really afford to spare.

You are right, i don't take any delight in his death but fear the one that can take away this life and the one to come.

That's not even a question, and I do believe you have gravely taken that verse out of context.
