I love the science museum in Exposition Park; there is the motion picture museum in west hollywood area. there is the Gene Autry western museum in Griffith Park (and the train town); the newly opened Planetarium (Griffith Observatory) in Griffith Park, Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach, Max Factor has a museum somewhere, and there is a car museum that I have heard about--the Petersen Automotive museum; The Tar Pits & Page museum on Wilshire, Pasadena has the Asian Pacific Museum, there is a sightseeing tour of the spots where famous people died & are buried, LOOK at the web site: www.tripadviser.com

If you are flying into LAX go to the Travelers Aid Booth located at each terminal. They have brochures for alot of museums. If you like old car museums go to Petersens at Wilshire and Fairfax and its close to alot of other ones, to El Segundo to the Automobile Driving Museum. They give rides in the old cars on Sundays. Netthercut is a fantastic museum in Symar. They are million dollar cars, some owned by old movie stars and on the top floor they have a music box room. Its fabulous. kingsleydr60@yahoo if you have more ?

My favorite L.A. museum is the Natural History Museum, which is also next door to the Science Center. A visit to both makes for a great day! Here's a link- they always have unique travelling exhibits:

Try Museum Row on Wilshire, there are several museums located within walking to short drive distance with L.A.C.M.A being the large/main museum. Here is a link that gives you info on all museums on Wilshire.
