Try adding cardio into your work out.that always helps. losing weight can be easy if you know how to do it. Drink plenty of water, and eat healthy no fast food! But its good to work out at least 3-4 times a week for about 30 minutes to an hour.

I am the same height as you and in the last 3 months I have managed to losea little over 25 lbs. I don't eat meat but maybe 5 times a year and that helps me stay slimmed down, I also eat once a day and that meal is very small, and I walk at least 1 to 2 miles daily. A quick paced walk. I also take vitamins so I don't hurt my body. I know that it is hard on your body to do it the way I am, but it works!!! Cut your calorie intake down. Way down. Check with a doc before taking anyones advice. He will know what is best for you so you don't get sick in this weight loss process. I wish you the best of luck!!

find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

On top of working out make sure to give up unnecessary sugars(cokes, chocolate candy, etc. ) Also if you have to do fast food avoid anything fried like french fries and onion rings. It might not work at first but after awhile you will see the difference.Make sure to break a sweat when you can while working out.

It's great that you want to shed those extra pounds!!!
There are a few different regimens you can try.
One is called the Rice Diet. It was created by doctors at Duke University, in North Carolina. It is a 3 stage regimen.
Another really great program

I do all that too and had a hard time loosing. You have to keep your heart rate up longer than 20 mintues for each activity. You don't start burning calories until that 20 minute mark to where you are burning fat. So you really do have to atleast double your time on the bike.
I dropped when I started using my stationary bike and playing xbox at the same time. I get so involved in the video game that Like an hour and half later...I am like WOW....12 miles!!!
It really works. I dropped 20 pounds on that alone.
I also went to my local drug store and did a colon fiber cleaning. Your intestines have alot of old rotten waste and you can tell espeically if you sweat and your sweat has a "food" smell of what you eat. You are sweating out whats rotting in your intestines. Its bacially just fiber tablets but you stay on it for approx 2 weeks and it cleans off the walls or your intestines and makes things flow smoother.
Sorta the same theory with drano and your kitchen sink pipes. When you eat alot of meat the diameter of your colon and intestines get more narrow and so things tend to stick to the walls...Like pipes in the kitchen..the more you stick down there..the more the drain will clog up from everything attatching to the walls of the drain pipe.
People who are in their mid 20's or higher can loose about 10 pounds alone on just cleaning out their system. From all the years of eating badly. It helps your colon, intestings, your digestive track, you sweat cleaner, it helps bad breath..because bad breath comes from your stomach and intestines so what is rotting also comes back up thru your air.
Okay..Hope I didn't gross you out!!
Also, don't drink alcohol it dehyrates you and makes you eat junk so you'll end up taking in unwanted calories. And NO carbinated drinks...It just fills up your stomach with air and pushes your stomach forward. You can also loose one pant size just by letting all the air out of your stomach.
Oh by the way..after I did all this..I went from 168 to 127 and I am now a size 4 jeans.
ADDITION: I forgot to mention that I also have a calorie counter watch. You can pick one up at walmart for a low price. If you keep to 1,200 calories is good. You need to burn 3,500 to burn off one pound of fat. So add those up 3,500 plus 1,200..you will need to burn off in one day 4,700 calories to loose ONE pound. If you use the watch like I do, I wear it all day when I work out...I find that changing your thinking and getting away from the scale really helps. You find your self...clapping your hands, singing louder, chewing gum, walking up and down your hallways, and soo on to add extra numbers to your total.. Its really easy!! And I think it would help give you a better understanding of what it takes to burn off one pound.
Good Luck!!
