One way would be to determine which Insurance Company you want to represent or that you see yoruself working for as an Agent? Try visiting an Insurance Office and speak with a Human Resources Recruiter or HR Manager. Ask to speak with a person who is already in this line of business and interview them to get some perspective of the qualifications, skills and training necessary to be a successful Insurance Agent? You may also want to consider the FINANCIAL SERVICES INDUSTRY - A growing industry that also pays well and has great benefits. Check into it at www.monster.com or www.careerbank.com or www.jobsinthemoney.com Everyone needs and uses financial services and over the next 25 years 78 million baby boomers will reture and they will need FInancial Consultants, Bankers, Private Bankers and these services in more than they think of today. Some good Bank jobs sites are: www.bankjobs.com www.wellsfargo.com www.bankofamerica.com www.wachovia.com GOOD LUCK! :-)

Most people who go into the insurance industry apply for sales jobs, such as an agent or broker. Many insurance companies offer workshops and seminars to educate people on the business and recruit employees. And the companies often train them and help them pass the required tests.
So your best best is to simply contact insurance companies and say you'd like to gain entry-level work in the field by selling insurance.
About the only thing that you really have to decide is what type of insurance you want to sell: auto, life, health, etc. Some companies specialize in one type, while others are more broad-based.

There are several companies out there who offer training to become an insurance representative. Some will even pay for your series licensing. Start looking at some of the companies out there that you're interested in and simply take a look at their requirements. All of the companies have websites with "Career Opportunities" sections.
Good Luck
