Matthew 17:20
"And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you."

NOTHING SHALL BE IMPOSSIBLE UNTO YOU!!!

1) Prove the existence of your god without using any logical fallacies. Impossible!

2) Move a mountain by using faith alone. Impossible!

3) Perform any other miracle, such as raising Jerry Falwell from the dead. Impossible!

Either this verse is a lie or there are no Christians on the planet.

Which one is it??

bsandford, the miracles happening all the time cannot be proved in any way to be miracles of the christians' god. Here's an example: yellow paint mixed with blue paint makes a new color: green. A miracle!!

Cheryllynn, perhaps it is you who has not read the bible. I read the entire thing, some parts at least 10 times. The bible clearly states that followers of Christ shoudl be able to perform the same miracles that He did. Try reading again, this time without assuming you already know the answer. It's quite clear.

Millie, after the answer you gave to my last question, you are in NO position to claim someone is not using their brain.

Scott B, If you have a shovel, you will not need faith. In this verse, the mountain is supposed to be moved on vocal command. Please reread.

Nika, has Western Christianity changed a direct quote from the bible? How can rightfully say they have a complete understanding of the bible. Rest assured I have read it from cover to cover and studeied extensively. My understanding is great enough to speak of it with knowledge an competence.

After 18 responses, most of which oppose my claim (which is silly because it comes directly from the book they have faith in) not one person has performed a miracle. Every defender has given excuses and dodged the challenge. What a lack of FAITH!!

Christians don't believe this verse either:

John 14:12Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

One can not do what is not understood, but that does not mean that the future understanding does not exist, and then new ways of life are attained. Here on earth, you can look at a three year old and say to him, "perform surgery on this patient," and if he doesn't, there is no ground to say that surgery or the science doesn't exist. Jesus understood Christ, Truth, Life, Love, etc. The mountains we will move will not have an element of evil in them.
Remember, it is only the human "mind" that hates truth, not God's true reflection.

Miracles aren't performed just so God can be proven to you, where does that leave room for faith. Mountains are moved all the time, for railway tunnels, excavation, strip mining. God didn't say you wouldn't have to use a shovel. Again, we don't perform miracles, God does.
Why can't you use a shovel? don't tell me what the verse says, it's not a "vocal" command, as you say.

Hey, Jesus messing with your mind? Just surrender, its easier than going through what He's got planned for you. And the finale is too gory to mention.

Jerry Falwell never died, friend. Only his body did. He was instantly transported to Jesus' side upon his death, and what a party they are having for him.

I know you're frustrated because without Jesus you can't see the miracles we Christian's see and experience almost every day. You're blinded by satan. The only way to find out is to surrender. Catch 22? How sad for you.

If your in America you have been contaminated with Western Christianity., which is deteriorating sadly. But in countries where people suffer and they have to fight for religious freedom, you will find much faith.
Its one thing to question but another thing to attack. Ask yourself why do you feel you must pull down Christians. You say not to use logical fallacies, our bible, but your quoting from it. miracles happen everyday in my life. You obviously have been through alot, and everyone has, but please don't speak about my Bible unless you have a total understanding of it. Thank you for the encouragement. I feel pulled to a higher calling in Christ Jesus my Lord.

The verse said "If ye have faith as a grain of mustard" it does not say "if ye have faith" so maybe that means we just don't have enough faith to do those things to your liking. It does not mean it is a lie or that there are no Christians.

The Saints have done marvels and miracles galore if you have eyes too see and ears to hear.

Jesus Himself rose to a new and everlasting life.

Christians are witnesses to this and that's all the proof that I need.

Besides from a philosophical point there is more in favour of the existence of God than against.

It also says in the bible, not too test god, because that will not be good to you.

There was only one human being who could do those things, His name was Jesus.

Thank you for being the 1000000000 person to take the bible words out of context.

When Jesus was talking and said unto them, did you read by any chance WHO HE WAS TALKING TO???

Yeah I didn't think so
