Is it easier to accept a bunch of little green men sticking things up people's butts on a flying saucer or a God who created this overwhelming universe?

I accept the first as a possibility and the second as reality. They are not mutually exclusive.

As for there being no evidence of either, I beg to differ. We have no concrete evidence of life on other planets, but we haven't ruled it out. And why couldn't God, who created the universe and put life on this planet, not put life on other planets in other solar systems. He certainly does not need our blessing for such an endeavor.

As for evidence of God. Enough unexplainable things have happened on this planet that leads me to believe in His existence. Things have happened in my life that once or twice you could claim coincidence, but after that, there seems to be a plan.

Little green men by far. Why? Because we already know life is possible in the universe since we are here. We have now found over 200 planets outside our solar system. The odds are just so much in favor of it that only a fool would think aliens do not exist. On the other hand, there is NO evidence that God exists.

It is very reasonable to think there is the possibility of other life in the universe. I don't believe in little green men in spaceships "probing"us.

I think it is very unlikely we will ever see alien life. We can't even leave our own solar system. The speed of light right now is the theoretical top speed. If that is true life from far away worlds could never reach here and we can't go there.

So until we can actually go look it is moot.

Why to completely strawman an argument you freaking twit.
While many of us believe life CAN exist on other planets, many of us don't believe it comes to earth, it's green, and they stick anything up any body.
You see, unlike you, we look at the evidence and use logic, which shows in an constantly expanding universe, there will be more then one planet capable of supporting life.
And when we look at the evidence supporting the existance of any supernatural beings, all we have are personal experience, and heresay, which ISN'T evidence.
So yeah... long story short, we don't entertain notions: we look at the evidence and base probability based on what's out there.
Moron.

Believing alien life might exists is a far cry from also believing they fly thousands of light years to investigate our species.

The difference between god and potential alien life is that WE KNOW life exists. If life exists on earth then there is a good chance life exists elsewhere, especially given the massive scale fo the universe.

There is REASON to believe alien life is possible. There is no reason to believe in an internally contradictory sentient magical being.

The Little green men thing is of course easier to accept. Did you think at all before posting?

However, I can "tolerate" either possibility.

Because aliens would exist in the universe, they'd be a natural result of evolution.

The same cannot be said for gods. Most Christians define their god as existing outside of the universe, outside the space time continuum, therefore without seeing they have defined it out of existence.

Technically God is an alien. He didn't originate on this planet.
He is a person different from us a spirit person who is invisible to human eyes. and yet he sees us without any problem. The spirit sons can fly Job 1; tells how satan goes back and forth between heaven and earth.
Green men? NO but others yes.

The existence of life on other planets is one thing, their interference in our lives, or even their knowledge of our existence, is extremely far fetched.

1. life must exist.
2. life must be at least as intelligent as we are.
3. They must surpass us in space travel, exploration, and communication.
4. They are able to avoid most of our sophisticated surveillance equiptment.
5. They are able to find our planet in the vast haystack of a universe.

So is it possible that alien life exist somewhere in the universe? Yes
Have they visited us. Probably not.

therein lies the problem. who said aliens are little green men doing anything to the butts of folks like yourself. is this a fantasy or are the only aliens you have considered those that you see on late night television? there are myriad reasons to believe life exists elsewhere that are objective and scientific, god does not have that going for him.
