Not directly, but he's the one attributed to it.
He was usually too busy saying other ministers worked for Satan.

of direction - it became into all component to their gay schedule. that's everywhere, like the sturdy Rev. Donald Wildmon informed us that sturdy Mouse is promoting using cocaine whilst he breathes interior the pollen for his capability. upload: No i don't have faith it - i think of that's humorous, however. I grew up gazing sturdy Mouse and on no account felt like utilising cocaine because of the fact of it. Donald Wildmon is a lot wackier than Falwell.

I also actually thought the purple or blue tubby Tinky Winky looked really stereotypically gay. He had this bright red handbag he carried around with these little gay hand gestures he made. I thought about it but not in a serious way.

Apparently because Tinky Winky the teletubby was purple with a triangle antenna and held a purse it meant he was gay.
I mean, all the problems in America and Tinky Winky is being harped on.
Then again, Jerry Falwell had a simple equation for ALL of America's problems from poverty to natural disasters to terrorist attacks to crime.
Gay People + Tolerance= poverty to natural disasters to terrorist attacks to crime.
another one was
Women's Rights + Political Power=poverty to natural disasters to terrorist attacks to crime.
apprently
Christian Theocracy + Greedy Tele-evangelism+ No sex education+ Ruthless defence of superpower status+ Gay extermination+ Extermination of all forms of non-white, non-Christian pop culture= God's Kingdom On Earth For America!

No. Someone who wrote for one of his organization's publications suggested that Tinky Winky was a gay symbol because he carries a handbag, wears purple (the gay pride color), and his antenna is shaped like a triangle (the gay pride symbol). It was idiotic and Rev. Falwell said as much later.

Yes, but that was barely the tip of the ice burg. We played on the fears of what he called the moral majority and by doing so had tons of money sent to him. His only interest was money and fame. Which he got.

Yes, the purple on in particular...Tinky Winky...apparently it was the color purple and his antenna on his head was in the shape of a symbol for gay and lesbian?
