Only human males think they are 'hard'. Please don't put human traits onto a creature you obviously don't know anything about!
Foxes are animals so like all animals, behave as their instincts direct! All the fox knows is that Cats can and will fight and he may or may not win. In nature you only fight an animal of the same or near size over territory so if a fox runs it knows it's on the Cat's territory so why fight if you don't need to! If the situation was reversed the Cat would be the one to run!

Actually, foxes are very shy creatures. They have to eat like every other animal and therefore they attack animals that are instinctively prey to them. They don't do it because they think they are hard, they do it because they won't survive if they don't. They don't eat cats, therefore they avoid them. Sensible creatures. If only humans were as sensible!

Yeah ! real cowards them foxes . Real brave when they are chasing poor little chickens but stand up to them and they c**p themselves!

You never see cats(or atheists) in "foxholes"....I think the cats are afraid as well.....that's kinda dumb actually...I'm tired,not much sleep.
