I've been taking a break from dating from this one person and like it wasn't like we had a big problem or anything. It was just we didn't have the time to be together anymore and we decided to wait to see what happens later on like over the summer. I've been so busy w/ stuff yet i still manage to still think about him. Most likely b/c prom is coming up really soon. Also this person was everything I looked for in a significant other. I don't even know if we will be together again later on and i don't wanna expect something and then end up giving my hopes up. Why is it so hard to move on...what should I do?

why is it so hard to let go?

people can tell you whatever, but inside you know the answer. if he is good to you and you are happier with him than without, get with him. if you feel kindof trapped in the relationship and are happier single, be single

Its so hard to move on because of hormones in the brain tht are makeing you have deep feelings for this person, but thts besides the point. The best thing to do is go and tell him how you feel, and if things dont work then find a good friend to talk to about it. (Good luck!)

Time will heal all wounds.... in the meantime explore your options.. date other people is always a good way to not think about him, you might find yourself someone you like even more, but you wont know that until you go out and see whats out there.

Because your holding on to your thoughts...Once you are able to completely let go of your thoughts thats when you will be able to let him go and move on.....If he was everything you wanted in a partner then he would be with you......So I don't think he's was the one for you.....You need learn how to accept when people are in your life for a reason and when they are in your life for a season. I think this guy was there for the moment maybe to fullfill you at that point in time but, he wasn't meant to stay with you.....Once you learn to let go and move on, you'll be able to openly allow love to find you....

ask him to prom.. if he says know, then you will know it is definately over and u wont get back together with him, and find someone else.. and it is probably so hard to let go because you had too high of expectations at the beginning and they weren't met.

youre stuck in limbo at the moment, dont focus on prom as a deadline, let it ride, u split, you'l heal, you'l move on. if its meant to be- it'l be.
youve learnt to love. thats something to consider if you do get back 2getha or even if you meet some1 else, put it under your belt and keep your chin up. enjoy your prom all the best x x

Prom is coming up???? hmmm how old are you, sound like high school senior and you already know he FITS your significant other's profile. Well if you do not have a date ask him or let it go!!!!!!!!!

Well I am having this problem now but I told myself If I really thought this guy was everything I wanted then I should keep him to my self because if you know u love him then you do!!

talk to him about your future. you can believe in letting things fall together, but there are times you should take initiative and find a position on things. If it doesnt work out, "dust yourself off and try again"
