One part of that scripture is amazing to me.John 4:2 My hour has not yet come.
why?
He had been out in the desert 40 days and been tested.
He preached 3 1/2 years or 42 months. yet he waited so that he would preach 40 months.
40 has so much sugifigance in the bible that I feel that was for a reason.
Acts 1:30 said he showed himself to them for 40 days
that is the 3rd set of 40 mentioned concerning his life.
I can't help but think of Mosses who spent 40 years growing up and then 40 years in the desert herding sheep and then 40 more wondering in the wilderness. For a total of 120 years.
Noah preached for 120 years before the flood.
I think in the future we will see where this has some sufigance concerning our day. What happened 120 years ago?
that would be 1887 What amazing thing happened then?
