That's your choice, of course. Myself, I always capitalize Christianity, Christian, and Jesus, but never atheist unless it is part of an organization's name (e.g., Atheist Alliance or American Atheists). I capitalize God when I'm referring to the Abrahamic God, but use a lowercase "g" when referring to a deity or group of deities.

Capital letters tend to be given to organised mass movements eg Communism, Christianity, Judaism, Fascism, Democracy etc. Atheism isn't an organised movement but a standpoint. Humanism, on the other hand, is an organised movement and so we use a capital letter for it.
The other thing is that Christianity is a word based on someone's name: Christ, as with Buddhism, and so, naturally, uses a capital letter. Ultimately, while you can quite happily not capitalise some of the words you mention, the name Jesus should stay with a capital. You write your name with a capital, don't you? Well so should you Jesus. Its a name like any other.

Atheism only gets capitalized at the beginning of a sentence or is part of the name of an org. like American Atheists. Other than that, it's not considered a proper noun.

The fact that YOU do whatever you want, does not mean it's the right way!! Christianity is a "proper' name for a religion, like Judaism, Hinduism, Islam, those are "proper" names, atheism is a "common" name. So you think you are so "intelligent" not to believe in God, but not intelligent enough to know the basic grammar rules??? Sad!

Atheism is not a religion. It is an opinion. Religions are proper nouns and are capitalized, like names and holidays. Do what you want with your caps lock/shift buttons. It won't bother me, but your English teacher may count off points if you ever write the word in an assignment. :)

I don't capitalize either one. I don't capitalize god either because it is just referring to a nonexistent deity, but I do capitalize Jesus as that is the name of a person.

atheism isn't capitalized since that would be improper english. i bet spell check capitalizes other religions, so you shouldn't capitalize any of them other wise you will have defeated your purpose to make stuff equal or whatever it is you are trying to prove.

PROPER ENGLISH
This is so because 'Christ' is a formal title, like King or Queen. Atheist is not a title, like say... left-hander or southerner.
Other examples of associative nouns derived from proper nouns:
-Muslims
-Americans
-African-Americans
-Humean
-Nietzschean
Other examples of non-proper noun associatives:
-capitalist
-theist
-ornithologist
