Why do people usually break up?

They grow apart. past hurt as in water under the bridge. It is very hard to forget and move forward, sometimes best to let go and go separate ways. People who stay together after hurt and water end up holding grudges. Not healthy. Sometimes best to break it off.. Been there still there..
