Hi everybody!

I asked this question a few hours ago and got some good and informative answers, but as it seems to me, that I wasn´t able to point out what I REALLY wanted to know and as i "closed" my question (i´m already new on this site), i have to try it again:

I want to find a word or a phrase that stands for something like: "come on! let´s solve this problem!" or "we will do this!", "we will go for that!"

so to symbolize a more "active" approach to problems and solutions.

is "tackle" the right phrase to "transport" this attitude? or is there something that might fit better?

i need it for a presentation in english to "motivate" ;-)

many thanks in advance,
TOM!

"To tackle" a problem generally means, idiomatically, that one begins to work on solving the problem. It doesn't necessarily mean that a solution is forthcoming, just that the work is going on.

Let's tackle this problem is a good active verb and yes, is a common English vernacular phrase. It would help you connect with an audience for a presentation I'm sure.

"Lets tackle this problem" is a common way of saying in English "Lets solve this problem" and does imply the kind of excitement you are suggesting. But it is concerned very informal, used in common, everyday language, but not in formal or technical writings. (Don't know the social situation in which you place to use this).

"let's do it"
"let's go for it"
"let's get it done"
"tackle" is fine

it all means the same thing and you can say any of these and you'll get your point across just fine.
