Because we've gained the intelligence to realize that demons are NOT the cause of mental illness or just simply being different. The only LOGICAL option is to grow out of superstitious thinking and stop blaming "demons" (of which, have no evidence of even existing outside the minds of the fearful and superstitious) on the world's ills. Exorcisms are a blight that should be eradicated from every corner of the world. They are torture, they traumatize, they maim, they kill... All because some people are too blinded by their myths and fears.

The church trains a select number of people a year to preform exorcisms. You might want to talk to a psychiatrist first, most possessions are actually menatl illness. Just ask Anneliese Michel AKA Emily Rose she died.

What do you mean WHERE? Right here, on Yahoo. Don't you get all your knowledge, information, advice, wisdom, solution to all your problems right here on the Internet?
You can have an exorcism performed online. Just type into Google "help for stupid people, who believe in exorcism" and you'll get a web site just for you.

Exorcisms are Christian rituals. I have never heard of a demon possession outside the Christianity.

When you make nasty things up and enough people believe in them, sometimes they come to visit.

It depends on what type of exorcism you want. Your local pagan group or ghosthunting group can probably help out if you don't mind.

Look in your local phone book for a store that sells pagan or wiccan (witch) items. Then give them a call and tell them you need someone to perform a ritual for you.

You can also try local ghost hunting groups. I don't know what area you are in, so I don't know where to direct you. But try googling your city and "ghost hunters".

Good luck! :)

If yo are serious, and I mean SERIOUS, the Catholic church still does perform exorcisms, however, you should call your local parish -

You need someone certified by a church (esp. Catholic) in exorcisms; such a person is often a priest, but not necessarily.

They are performed by "exorcists," and some priests are exorcists. However all Christian Churches require that a psychologist basically say you are not crazy first.

You can inquire at a Pentecostal / Charismatic church if they have or know of any ministries that have "deliverance" ministries. "Deliverance" is the term to use, not "exorcism".
