find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

You can, but only so much weight. After a while, your body starts to burn fat and work those muscles more efficiently, meaning you burn less fat over time. For example, they say for every year of jogging, you would have to run an additional 1.4 miles to get the same workout. This makes sense because if you were really fit, and only walked for exercise, you wouldnt lose as much if you never walked at all. The solution is to push your body out of its comfort level and keep it guessing. So if you're already doing some other kind of exercise, walking might not be enough of a workout for you, or you need to pick it up and do something more aerobic.

It's all a numbers game. If you eat 2500 calories and only burn off 2000 calories with regular activity and walking, then you're still gaining 500 calories worth of fat a day. Or if you eat 2000 calories and only burn off 2000 calories, you won't gain, but you won't lose either. You need to expend more than you take in. 1800 calories a day is optimal, but try to expend more than 2000 a day. I'm sure if you google, you'll be able to find out how many calories are burned on certain activities. You even burn calories for just breathing (but it's only like 50 a day).
You can exercise hours a day, but if you don't adjust your diet, you'll never lose a pound.
Lastly, as you build muscle, you may notice a weight gain because muscle weighs more than fat. It will eventually even out, so if you're working out more, have adjusted your diet and you're gaining weight, it's that you're gaining muscle weight and that's a good thing. The more muscle you have, the more calories you'll burn.

Yes you can....you should be walking 30-60 minutes a day a pretty good pace so you are sweating. You may not be losing weight b/c you need to cut down on your eating and calories. Cut out the junk food and the pop. Try to eat clean like.......salads, fruit and lean meat. Chicken... cut down on the bread. Also give it some times...it's healthy to lose only 1-2 lbs a week. Cut back on more calories and increase the walking if you want to lose faster.

It's not the type of exercise that matters, it is the intensity and duration. Walking faster and longer will help you burn more calories. You also have to balance this with your diet. In order to lose weight, you must burn more calories than you consume. If you increase what you eat when you increase your exercise you will not lose any weight.

yes you can (walking as the only exercise) but you will need to modify your diet. You cant just walk then eat 15 snickers during the day. You have to support your exercise with a healthy diet.

Well that depends. How much are you walking and how much are you eating. In order to lose weight you need to burn more calories then you eat.

Walking burns very few calories. You need to run to get results. Walking is however, fantastic for your circulation. Try speed walking. You have to feel your heart pounding to get results.

No. You have to eat a healthier diet and maybe jog instead of just walking.
