Here is a reference to the Section of the St. Lucia Constitution on Citizenship:

I believe Section 102, 2, (b) applies to you:

b) any person who, being a Commonwealth citizen, is and for seven years previous to his application has been ordinarily resident in Saint Lucia;

That means you have to be a resident for one more year. You should speak with an attorney. I'm sure you will have to provide proof of your residency.
