The sour cream I have is unopened, but its 10 days past the expiration date, would it still be okay to use?

I wouldn't use it! If you're brave, you can open it up and smell! If the smell doesn't make you sick, then knock yourself out!

It's already sour (after all, it's "sour cream"). It remains good until it starts to mold or has a brownish tinge around the edges.
Expiration dates for dairy products are ruses for the industry to sell more product. My rule is to smell or taste it. Milk lasts more than two weeks past the expiration date. Cottage cheese can last a couple of months if it hasn't been opened. So can sour cream.

No, 7 days is allowed with dairy products, as the date is for stores to remove from the shelf.
When in doubt throw it out!

i wouldn't but that's my opinion would you drink milk that hasn't been opened 10 days after it expires
