I don't care what you think about him. Please take a moment and think of others.

I thought the Non-Christians on R & S were respectful and thoughtful people. Though I know many of them are, today or at least for the last few moments based on the questions/answers in this section, there are MANY non-Christians who are acting in a detestable manner.

Lord forgive them.

I will certainly be thinking of his family's grief at this time.

In that he was someone's husband, dad, etc, I'm sorry for their loss.
That's as close as I'll get to regret that he's gone.

when I was in jr. high and Reagan was shot they announced it at lunch. I was disgusted by the reaction of many of the other students...in a conservative town, no less. Did I like him as a president? NO. but all I could think is about his wife and kids wondering if he'd pull through, and I felt badly for them.
No one, no matter how obnoxious one facet of them may be, is only that, and most people's deaths are a cause for mourning for a least a few people.

I very much disagreed with Falwell's views, but doubtless, his family is grieving for him, as are his friends and parishioners. I will say a prayer for them. To pray only for people I happen to like and agree with would be hypocritical.

I've had Rev. Falwell's loved ones in my thoughts since I first read that he died. I didn't like the man's politics or zealotry, but that doesn't mean that I feel a need to celebrate his passing.

I wish his family the best. I will also take this moment to mention all the other people who have died and whose families are grieving.

If I prayed, it would be for the people Falwell wronged in his blithering ignorance.

A lot of people don't seem to realize the damage that hatefilled, bigoted and arrogant man did to the lives of others.

I assume his family loved him. So....I'm sorry for their loss. But from where I stand, Falwell was a hazard to this country.

While I disliked the man, his policies, and everything he stood for, passing is always hard for those left behind. my thoughts and good wishes are with his family and friends

Family, friends, ok I suppose he had some friends. I feel a bit for them. But supporters? They should know better.

Only if the prayers are that they see the light that Mr. Falwell was evil. A prophet for profit. I pray that, now that he is gone, they will see the light and make this world a better place.
