Does anyone know what spyware is compatible with windows vista? I went to Best Buy and bought a new laptop. The people there told me that macfee, aol, and norton are not compatible with it. Is that true? Or did I get ripped off?...by paying the GEEK SQUAD 150 to add their spyware protection to it.

The latest editions of Norton and McAfee are compatible with Vista as well as Spyware Doctor, Ad-Aware and most others.

Spybot Search & Destroy 1.4 is very good, and free. Way better than anything Norton or McAfee has. This has kept me spyware free very well. with regular updates & scans. This program , with Vista needs
Administrator rights, but that's no big deal.
