Yes, but those 18,000 people were probably good people.
Jerry Falwell was evil, a prophet for profit.

Unlike most (if not all) of the other 18,000 people that have died, Falwell actually contributed something to the world. He tried to make this hell-hole a little more tolerable to live in. Funny, how this question gets asked when it's a "religious" person or someone people don't like because he actually has beliefs and convictions, but what about when a Hollywood celebrity or a pro athlete dies? It's a tragedy isn't it?
People thought it was so terrible when Anna Nicole died. SHE WAS A STRIPPER! Sure, it's sad. It's as sad as the other 18000 people died that day. She did no good whatsoever for the world or even this country. That is why this world (country) is so f****d up.

Dying is not a bad thing. We will continue on and progress throughout the ages. I wish all those who have lost loved ones, well and happiness.
P.S. I think it's on the news because the news people are happy he's gone.

I honestly care a great deal more about those 18,000 than I do about Jerry.

Falwell's death will affect more people than any of those other deaths, which will likely only affect those who knew them.
And Falwell's death will benefit more than 18,000.

It is human nature to concentrate on a single, known face.
when thousands die, they are statistics.
10,000 people die in the US each year from air pollution alone, but there is no sinlge "poster child."

I agree. Chuck this pig in the ground and let's forget about it. He was a hateful, gluttonous bigot.
