Sounds like some kind of hemorrhage. Does she have high blood pressure? Did she has some kind of trauma to her head? Is she a diabetic? Bring her to the ophthalmologist!! (or her PCP). Good luck.

3 days is too long to wait. Usually when people complain of a "curtain of blood" behind the eye is a sympton of something as serious as a detached retina. Please take he to see her Dr. ASAP..nothing to play about.

Sounds like a blood vessel burst. She should see a dr. to make sure there is no damage to the cornea.

Take her to a doctor. It might be nothing, but it also might be something serious. Call her regular doctor's office to discuss, but he/she might refer your grandmother to an eye doctor.

It could be bloodvessels in the back of her eye bleeding. Get her to specialist STAT.
