the other day my best friend called, it has been weeks since i spoke to her cuz her phone hasnt been working. so while i was talking to her my bf was calling on the other line and i didnt pick up cuz she was in the middle of a conversation. so after we hang up i called my bf and he asked how come you didnt pick up, so i told him i was on the line with my friend. he got so angry cuz i didnt ask her to hold on to take his call. i told him she was just telling me something so i didnt want to interupt, he was still pissed saying i put my friends first and he said im taking advantage of him. i was all like shocked, i couldnt believe how angry he was over this even after i apologized to him. he claimed i was not really sorry, and thinks that i did that cuz i dont care abt him. that was when i got so pissed and strom out of him care and went home(my care was parked next to his) so now we havent talked since last night

so do you think i should call him first? did he overacted?

Yes he did overeacted and no you shouldn't call first because you already apologized. This type of behavior from him sounds familiar......he might have a disorder...consider it! Or simply.....some men like to be in control....like if the world revolves around them? good luck!

That should be "overreact" (not overacted) and yes, he did overreact.

One of the rudest options on telephones is call-waiting. Unless you are expecting an emergency or very important call, it's very impolite to hang up on someone to take another call, or ask someone to hold so you can see if the other line is a better deal.

Your boyfriend apparently is self-centered and thinks the world should revolve around him, not common courtesy in general. He needs to get over himself...

If he's a good guy and you can handle his immaturity of not answering his calls right away then yes call him and work it out ONLY if he's a good guy, but if he isn't a good guy then this is just a sign of whats to come in the future and it will only get worse........however, i've been in the same situation, thats why you gotta tell your man all nice, "oh sorry i missed your call baby, i was in the bathroom", and whats he gonna say then, i mean, he cant get mad, for gosh sakes you were in the freakin bathroom! and if he does get mad even when u said that then damn girl, u got one hell of a jealous guy on your hands and things are only going to get worse, but if he doesnt trip on you then he's a keeper! But trust me, guys are like that, you would have got mad to if he didnt click over because he was talking to his friend, im sure you think youre more important than his friends, so thats why he was upset, because he feels he should come before your friends because youre the one who made the committment to have a man, therefore, i hate to say it, but your man is now your #1, and your friends come 2nd....thats why sometimes you gotta lie to your man because if not they get all pissed and im pretty sure u dont want to hear their bullsh*t.

He totally overreacted and I would not call him. This all sounds very immature. What is the big deal, anyway. You called him right back. He has some serious self esteem issues to get so jealous over nothing. I would get out b/c this is just the beginning of many more dramatic fights over something trivial and childish.

How childish can you get? How old is this young man? Is he still in grade school. I definitely think he was over reacting, there was no reason to act so abused because you didn't answer his call.. He is the one who needs to apologize and if he says you put your friends first then he needs to explain that statement and follow it up with proof. I would not call him, he needs time to think about how childish he acted and to understand that he is not the only person in the world that you care about.. Good luck and God bless..

Over reacted is an understatement. All that just because you didn't pick up his phone call, even though you called him right back? Wonder what would happen if you ever really did do something worth being mad over. hmmmm.

He needs to apologize. With chocolate and flowers.

LOL

well what do is usually tell anybody to hold on. If i want to tell you to hold on because somebody is on my other line... then thats what i do. I think he overreacted BIG TIME. He just insecure and scared that you might have found somebody better than him. You shouldn't call him at all to show that you have no reason to be sorry. You were being very respectful to your friend. He just need some damn attention thats all.

He really over-reacted!!!

I am sorry but boyfriends come and go, and friends are there forever!!!!!

He sounds like he wants to be at your beck and call every time he calls you, like he is controlling your every move and what you say and do.

You are your own person and you answer to no one, I think it is time you re-evaluate your relationship, becuase do you want to spend the rest of your days answering to him??

I would leave him if I were you, you need to be happy, cut the string that he is using to keep your leash short!!!!

He overreacted. He sounds really possesive. If he's this crazy over you not taking his call immediately (i mean you called him right back--it's not like you ignored him for days) what else does he make a big deal over?? Who is he to tell you how you feel?? I would get rid of him fast.

first of all, your spelling and grammar make your question reallly hard to understand, jeez.
Yeah, I think he overreacted. I wouldn't care if my girl wanted to finish a call with a friend.
You should've told him you couldn't make it to the phone, or that you didn't hear it or something.
If he doesn't call the next day, I would call him.
