I think the guy's smart and the girl is a dumb bimbo.

It sounds like a dream come true for the guy. As an older guy, I've often wondered why young women would be attracted to someone significantly their senior. Maybe some of the women on the board can provide the answer, but I feel that maturity may be part of the answer. Women who are more mature may not be attracted to the frat boy type, and may be looking for more stability and security that an older guy can bring. Bottom line is, if it works for them, then everything is fine. Much better than a 25 year old guy dating an 18 year old girl.

Both of age to make their own choices. However, this is a large enough gap in age that many other issues must be considered and most certainly should be discussed. A 47 year old should have much to lose....A 25 year old a lot to gain.

Legal? Yes.... but f-ing disgusting... lol 25 is a good round age, no flaws... meanwhile the 47 year old has old balls and a bad attitude. and they always come up with the same answer, they've got money and class and they know how to treat a lady... I'm 25... I've got all 3 lol. there are other 25 year olds like me, guess you just have to look harder :)

I'm conflicted about this. On one side I can understand that as a man we want a fun and happy woman and that by the time a woman reaches 47 (in general) that fun, happy nature seems to go. On the other side when he was 22 ( a fully grown man) she was not even alive, seems a little perverted when you put it that way but then again she is a fully grown woman. I guess whatever floats your boat, or finds your lost remote. Whatever makes you happy in this case.

i work with a 25 yr old ( i'm 48 ) who is mature for her age but i wouldn't get romantically involved with her simply for the fact that she isn't yet set in her ways as of yet. If she were 30 it would be better, just be prepared when she changes and you don't like it.

I'm sure your friends will envy you. However, there's a big difference between the two. I believe age is just a number but then again, she's more like she wants to out and have fun, you're almost 50, more like you want to lay down at home, and relax. It's a tough one, but see how it works.

If she will and you will great! However, what R U going to talk about with a 25 year old girl? "What do you think about the Paris Hilton travesty?"

I think there's too much life that happens between those years. It might be great at first but soon it will become very obvious that they have nothing of quality in common.

Personally, I find that wrong on several levels. No matter the maturity level, they come from two separate worlds. He's old enough to be her father, not her boyfriend.
