Many of you responded to my previous question that I am mistaken that the bible condones incest and that it depicts women as being inferior to men. I think you must be forgetting that, according to Genesis, we are all the results of incest. We all are the descendents of Adam and Eve. If this story is true, incest would have had to occur in order for us to be here. Secondly, I agree that the bible does not literally say that women are inferior to men. However, the bible tells women that they must submit to their husbands and that they should never ask a question in church. Christians responded to my question by saying that “women just have a different role” than men. I do not think that the men who wrote the bible were saying that at all.

There is much debate over the Adam and Eve issue. I think that God probably created other humans and specifically made Adam and then Eve to be placed in the garden of Eden. There is no real evidence to support this theory but there is also no evidence that Cain married his sister. When the bible takes about everyone being descendants of Adam and Eve it could refer to the fact that the Jewish people (not necessarily all people) were descendants of Cain and therefore of Adam and Eve.

The verse that says women should not speak out in Church is not directed toward all women and does not mean to silence women. If you look at the complete context of the verse. It is meant to reprimand women who had been speaking out against their husbands in the Church. It goes on to say that if a woman thinks her husband is doing wrong she should confront him privately at home. I think the bible is very clear the women are not inferior to men (read the story of Deborah in Judges 4).

Although the Bible refers to only Adam and Eve, this does not mean that others could have been created.

I agree that if the Bible isn't one hundred% precise, then its not the know God. The Bible is then erroneous and undependable. How can one remember on something as an entire whilst it proves itself at specific areas to be unreliable? i'd choose to remark on some issues you stated: a million. God LOVES homosexuals. He loves each and every person (in spite of what specific church homes would say). Jesus died for gays besides as today human beings. of path, the Bible does declare that homosexuality is a sin. or perhaps nevertheless many believe that its completely superb to be gay, i don't think of its a stretch to believe that a author created guy to be with lady, and basically women. To many, it must be an uncomfortable actuality that homosexuality is erroneous - yet that doesn't recommend the belief is fake. And on something else you stated - i don't believe that all and sundry homosexuals will pass to hell. The Bible mentions that homosexuals will, however the record additionally is composed of theives and liars. does not that contain each and every physique? properly, in case you recognize the context, you will understand which means people who choose to stay IN sin and different than for God will die. There are people who warfare with homosexuality (born with it or not, i don't understand), yet nonetheless seek for God. Its a thorn of their area. i think that people who genuinely seek for God yet locate temptation with those of an identical race will nonetheless be with God in glory. 2. women at the instant are not inferior to adult males. women are companions and co-equals, although they have been designed with a different place, and cursed in a different way from God. that on no account denies their equality in the past God. 3. Incest isn't ok. The Bible contraptions strict rules against incest. Lot's daughters are appeared down upon for their sinful incestual deeds. As for the commencing up of time and incest - it fairly is a tricky question. i think that, if taken actually, sure, incest did take place between Adam and Eve's toddlers. although, the question turns into extra complicated (as in, did sin unfold slowly with the aid of the international? How did sin effect in human actual imperfection? how briskly did sinned-ridden, broken genes unfold?). thank you for the question!
