Just curious about your story on how you find out! Plus, did you wait awhile before telling everyone, or did you tell everyone right away?

Sorry to hear that, Chelsea. I also heard that that's the reason you should wait awhile before telling everyone. My condolences to you and your family.

I was five months along before I found out I was pregnant! I had TWO "Fertility Specialist" tell me that I would never get pregnant, and if I did, my ueteras was too thin to carry more than a couple of weeks. So when I had "symptoms" I didn't even consider pregnancy (when you have specialist tell you you can't get preggo, that is the last thing on your mind!) I figured I just had another ovarian cyst and that it would just rupter and reabsorb like all the others did. So I never went to the doctor for it. I even had X-rays and hand surgery, anesthesia and hydrocodone for pain! My sister bought me a pregnancy test(after nine years of buying them I should have owned stock in EPT, and I refused to buy another only to be disappointed!) I took it and it was positive. I was home alone(wich was probably a good thing) and all I could do was scream and cry (out of happiness of course!)I callled my husband to come home. When he did I just handed him the test stick. It took a while for it to sink in, afterall we weren't suppose to have babies. IMMEDIATELY we called everyone to tell them! Through the whole time, I never looked pregnant. I didn't have a belly. But the next morning when I woke up, POP! There was this huge pregnant belly! It was as if baby said, "They know I'm here, so no need to keep hiding!" That afternoon we went to the doctor and found out I was 5 months! We got to hear her heartbeat that same visit, and the next day, had an ultrasound and found out we were having a girl! So in less than 48 hours, we went from not being able to have a baby to being half way there! 4 months later I gave birth to a perfect, beautiful baby girl. Our miracle baby!

Well it's kinda a long story for me. I was at the mall with a friend and my boyfriend and we were hanging out for 2 hours waiting for a movie to start. During those two hours I spent $40 on food. For myself.
Needless to say, I felt like crap lol. That set me off to think I was pregnant - I was expecting my period that day, or the next.
It never came the next day, and I had a strong feeling about it. So I went and bought a pregnancy test and took one right away and took another one the next morning.
Both were positive.
I told my boyfriend, the friend we were with at the mall, my sister, my mom, and had her tell my dad ((in that order)) pretty much right away. We all kept it to ourselves for a good while, then I became more open about the pregnancy. Now I'm ready to burst any day now!

I was 16, I missed a period I think, got sick a couple of times and finally went and bought a test. It was positive. Went and bought another one. Positive. We told his dad and my mom that night. We were freakin out! My mom told me if I kept staying with him I was going to get pregnant. I actually had to go to the local bar to tell her. She was way more supportive than we thought she would be. (I'm sure the beers and the fact that there were witnesses helped! lol) The second time I was 19 and pretty much the same thing. missed period, took test, took another one. We didn't tell everyone right away this time though. I'm pretty lucky though, I had a girl and then a boy. 3 yrs apart. And I'm still with their daddy!!! lol

Uh honestly... I dont know what told me to take a test, but I did and I almost passed out. My hands were shaking and I was like, this must be wrong... I better go get a name brand test... So i did, took it in the Target Bathroom and sure enough all 3 said yes!!! I was very scared to tell my bf at the time, seeing as we were not married. And I didnt wait long to tell my family, my mom and sister knew the next day and aunts and uncles on x-mas, friends found out on New Years Eve...

I was two weeks late. I was 18 and a senior in High School. But I was having a hard time peeing. Just like a bladder infection. Being young, I didn't want to tell my mom. But I did because I couldn't take it anymore. I wanted to pee normal again. So I told my mom while I was at work, she asked me if I had sex with my boyfriend. I was hesitant to reply. So she told me to get a pregnancy test on the way home. So I did and tested. Big positive result. Funny I didn't have a problem having to go pee any more.

Both pregnancies I threw up one time and only one time and knew ! was pregnant. I took a home pregnancy test and sure enough! I have really sporadic periods so when I found out I was already about 2 months with both of my kids so I did tell everyone. I hadn't had a history of miscarriages or anything so I felt pretty comfortable telling everyone.

I was really sick one weekend then I went to work Monday and we started talking about going out the following night. . then one of my close co-workers asked if I had started my period yet. I said no (i had never really been that regular) and she said maybe I should take a test since I hadn't started and was getting sick. I thought there was no way I could be pregnant, but I took a test anyways just to make sure before I went out the next night partying.
Well the little stick turned pink real quick!! I called my sister immediatley to tell her, then I told my friend from work. The next morning I went into my doctor to make sure. That day I called my parents and my sons dad.

I felt my baby kick. I found out when I was about 5.5 months pregnant. My doctor told me as a teenager that I could not have children, so I never even thought about it. When I had morning sickness, I thought it was the flu that everyone else had, when I felt it move, I chalked it up to gas. I never missed my period, in fact it became even more regular(my grandma had hers with all aher babies). When I felt her kick, I was spastic, thinking I had worms! I was terrified, I think because I was scared of the letdown if I let myself think and hope even for a moment that I might be pregnant, because I had resigned myself to never being able to have one, and would have been herartbroken if I was wrong. With my other two, I was ttc for so long that it was obvious.

We had been trying for about 7 months. I took my first test a couple days before my missed period (one of those "early" tests), and it came back negative.
But, since I was a bit baby crazy, I tested again on the first day I was supposed to start my period. I got up to pee at like 6am on a Saturday, and decided to test. The line was very faint, so I woke up my husband and said "uh...is this a line?" He said "probably, go back to sleep."
So I tested again the next day with a digital test and got the "pregnant" result!
We IMMEDIATELY told everyone, which was probably a bit too early! But we were so excited!
