I agree Squirrel. While I held no love for the things he believed and spouted, a little respect for a life lost would be nice.

The poem from the man you write approximately particularly made me sense undesirable. i became into feeling so undesirable approximately it, I wrote an prolonged letter in respond. i needed him to understand that the poets on listed here are particularly are sturdy human beings and that i do no longer think of anybody meant to harm him. I come here for the sturdy examining, even however i'm too timid to characteristic my own poetry. I felt so undesirable that he became into so harm. i understand some human beings would be very unkind, I have been given a number of those to my questions in yet another section, yet i understand who i'm. i'm hoping he's doing extra helpful today. The letter very much shocked me. i understand i'm too gentle to human beings's soreness.

You know... normally I would agree with you... but this guy did things that were outright disgusting. I'm surprised anyone even cares.
BUT- I don't. Mr. Robertson, Ms. Phelps- get in line.
Call it an unpopular statement- call it rude- but this guy was a sicko- I mourn his loss no more than the loss of any other bad leader.

I'm sorry for his family, but not for all the people he harmed during his 73 years as a bigot and hate-monger. That's really all I have to say. I don't celebrate death.

I agree he messed up.
I will not celebrate,or make fun of, a death.
Turkey Head, no it's not. We celebrate eternal life. This man's earthly life is over. There are family that will miss him. It's nothing to make fun of. I greatly mourned my Mother's death, though I know I will see her again one day.

i know what you mean. even if you don't have respect for the person, those people who cared about Falwell (and no, I'm not one of them) deserve some respect. at least leave it alone long enough for them to grieve.

You should apologize. Comparing Jerry Falwell to a dog is insulting--to the dog.

I never had much respect for him while he was alive, and nothing has changed now that he's dead. However I don't celebrate his passing either.

Given that this is the man - among others - who claimed Katrina was punishment for New Orleans' sins, I shed no tears for him.
