Oooooo wicked but you hit the mark. Surely he would find a way to blame them, after all 9/11 was the gay's fault according to him. I'm sorry for his family but we will be better off without his particular brand of hypocrisy, bigotry and hate spewing from his own version of twisted extremist Christianity.

As a fat middle-aged pig, I can say that one's attaining of this status usually has more to do with one's personal choices in lifestyle than others' choices on unrelated moral issues.
He's not the one who said God would take him if people didn't give enough money though. That was Oral Roberts. Also an unusual man, but he came across warmer and fuzzier than Jerry Falwell from my point of view.

Why are you looking for someone to blame? Is that typical of the way you deal with situations?
The man is old - heart failure happens. Let it go.
Btw - I'm not one of his followers, but I have no clue where all of the anger / bitterness / even hatred toward him is coming from. I know who he is, but can honestly say I've never heard one of his sermons. I don't care for most televangelists, because many tend to give Christianity a bad reputation.

But seriously, death is an unfortunate event- the man may not have been a very nice person, (and I am certainly NOT one of his followers) but he does deserve the respect we should show to anyone else who dies.

I guess, BY FALWELL'S OWN WORDS, donations were down.
Edit: I stand corrected. However, he STILL said homosexuals were to blame for the deaths caused by HIV, 9-11, Katrina and other disasters. HE NEVER claimed his god let people die for GOOD REASONS. If you died, in his universe, it was because of them thar gays.
