Nature is accepting to live as an animal.
Moral is taking self - control to make yourself better.
So, a 13 year old is still under the care of an adult. It's the adults responsability to teach it's young ways to improve life. Teaching involves lecturing, speaking, asking question, and listening to see if the youngster has received the lessons.
When a 13 year old does not accept the lessons and chooses to live as an animal, most will often stunt development (physical, social, mental, & spiritual) of their possibilities in life.
It's like if they took the key's to the family car and went for a joy ride. Few get away unknoticed with this stunt ... some crash and have perminante injuries ... while a few others find the experience non-chaulant.
Nature is giving up education, car's, physical health, homes, sometimes safty ... Do dog's goto school, drive, get reconstructive surgery, hire real-estate agents to find awsome home, or ability to "Get out of Euthanasia"??? Moral is understanding what is good (physically, morally, and spiritually) and striving to reach that in order to gain wisdom, transportation/communications, great houses, physical well being (health insurance), and make society a great place to live.
So 100 years ago girls got married young ... but did they have toilets, running water, showers, easy access to ice skating, great medical treatments, movies, possibility of college, cell phones, or Hanna Montana??? (All fruits of taming animal behaviors like sex, carnage, & violence) In fact, women couldn't even vote back then ... so, you were married off to a troll and couldn't do anything about it.
Everything in life is a choice ... one or the other ... what's most important to you --- live like an animal, or gain wisdom to create safty and comfort in the future???

Morally-----I think it's wrong. 13 year olds aren't ready for the possible consequences that sex can bring. They aren't ready for a child (emotionally or financially, and probably not physically). Sex usually leads to attachment, which usually leads to a broken heart. Not to mention STDs. Sex doesn't have any meaning at 13, and as good as you might think it is at 13, sex gets better as you get older. Meaningless sex takes its toll on you emotionally, it's just sooner than later for some people.
For the Nature argument----I can see where it makes sense. 100 years ago, 13 was middle aged becuase life exectancy was so young. You were expected to be married and be starting (or already have started) a family by then. But on the same note, if you were expected to die at 35 100 years ago, does that mean you are supposed to drop dead or kill yourself when you hit 35 now? Of course not. Times change, so it should not be expected to have sex at 13.
BabeHeart makes a good point---Sex was for reproduction back then, and it was not usually enjoyed. I think it's become very recreational now.

Maybe I'm morally corrupt, but honestly I lost my virginity at 13 and don't regret it. And I wasnt in love or anything like that, I just wanted to do it. I'm not completely messed up from it or anything. So I think it really depends on the person and how mature they are. Some people can handle sex at that age and others can't.
Also, keep in mind that the life expectancy of people 100yrs ago was signifacantly shorter than now.

You're right, there was a time when 13 yr olds were married off and having babies soon after...but then they didn't typically live to be 80-something either.
Kids nowadays aren't prepared for the issues that come with sex...a 13 yr old isn't prepared to be a parent, isn't prepared to deal with an STD, and often isn't emotionally ready to deal with the feelings that often come with being intimate with someone.
In ancient times, 13 yr old girls had sex with their husbands to produce offspring, not for fun...it didn't matter if she liked it or not (and she often didn't). The world is different now...and while a teen is living at home and being supported financially, physically, and emtionally by someone else, then they need to save sex for a more independent and mature time in their life.
