There is no such word as "Paiza" in the Italian language.

you may have viewed an incorrect spelling of:

piazza= a (town) square
pizza= a bread based food
pace= peace
pazzo/a= crazy

or it may be a word in one of the innumerable dialects of Italian.

This is the correct answer- I am a fluent Italian speaker, and have also checked to make sure in the reference listed below. Hope this helps!

I thought it was old Italian and meant "Woman of my country "or " from my region", but I have only seen it spelt with an s, not a z. The same term exists in old French "Ma payse" with the accentuation on the y. It is rarely used nowadays.

You're probably referring to "paisà" a bad pronunciation (more likely to be heard in American than in Italy) of "paisano", meaning fellow countryman, compatriot.
