I could be as vindictive as he was and say Gluttony and overeating are condemned in the bible- Prov 23:21, Ecces 10:18, Rom 13:13, Phil 3:19 and 1 Pet 4:3.- (Go look it up yourself) and he will go straight to HELL!

But instead I hope he finds that God loves and accepts him as one of his children just as he does the millions of people Jerry wrongfully and prematurely condemned.

Since the same judgement we give to others will be given back to us, I choose to believe God is far more loving and accepting of others than I am capable of sometimes.

While I believe that he was one of the biggest hypocrites within the so-called moral majority, which he founded, I am always saddened when I hear of someones death. It also saddens me to see the glee with which so many are taking this news.
Having said that, IF I believed in a hell, that is where I believe he will be going for all of the damage he and his cohorts have done to this country.

Happy and sad. It is sad when anyone who is considered a good citizen dies. The good that they accomplished in their life is to be celebrated and I'm sure there are lots of people whose lives he touched for the good will be sad to see him go. However, as the Apostle Paul said, "To live is Christ and to die is gain" (Philippians 1:21). Jerry is with his Jesus now and is getting a much needed rest from all his work with his ministry here on earth. I know that he caught a lot of flack from the homosexual community about what he believed about that lifestyle. However, remember that he invited any/all homosexuals to come to the church he preached at after that first message. He preached a very compassionate message to them when they came and offered them hope. The man loved Jesus and the Bible and lived his life that way.

I'm sad that it's too late for him to learn tolerance and love for his fellow man. Instead is life was filled with hate and intolerance for anything that was any way different then what he believed. I am sad that now he's gone there will just be another intolerant man of "god" to take his place.

I can't believe he lived so long, given his obesity. He was 73, so it's completely normal.

It is an end to an era. Unfortunately, others will take his place.

Of course, I wish his family well in this time of sadness and transition.

Mostly indifferent. Though, assuming there is an "afterlife," I do wonder what he thinks now that he's discovered he was wrong and his promised heavenly reward was nothing more than a chimera.

I have not heard about him for a long time. I don't feel any differently. I hope he went peacefully.
