Other than grunting and pointing, do you clods ever really try to communicate?

Are you stuck at the level of simply fulfilling your basic needs?

1) define clod. who/what etc.
2) WHO is "grunting and pointing" - needs to be clarified.
3) Isn't grunting and pointing along the same level as fullfilling your basic needs? At least, they're often associated with each other...
4) Thought question: Ever thought about that you're the one who doesn't understand, and in the rest of the world are clods who communicate by grunting and pointing?

For calling yourself very, very, intelligent, you sure have a neanderthal way of articulating your question. "Clod?" I have earned enough diplomas in my lifetime to wallpaper a bedroom with them, does that sound like someone who is simply fulfilling BASIC NEEDS. As for communicating, what are we doing here if NOT communicating our viewpoints......

Hey, dummy! What do you think all those mudslides mean? We've had them in California, mud from floods and tsunami's. Afterall those mudslides are a HUGE communication effort by us "clods"!
