I hadn't heard that he was in the hospital. I don't like his positions on just about everything, but that's no reason for me to wish him ill, even if ill will from afar could have any affect upon anything. Still, for the sake of his loved ones, I hope it turns out to be a minor incident and he recovers soon.

Yea, I do. But you got to admit that some of the things that Jerry has said in is life was pretty mean spirited. It's only human nature for people wonder why god did this to one of his own if he's so good and powerful. He once said that if you are not a born again christian your a failure as a human being. Go ahead and take a look at some other asinine things he has said. And then wonder why some people are just a little bit happy.

I remember back when Falwell was in opposition to government funding for AIDS research. This was back when most of the HIV-infected people were in the gay community. Maybe Falwell took a little glee in gay people suffering and dying. He said it was God's wrath against homosexuals. Is that not mean-spirited? I absolutely despised that man but I take no pleasure or rejoice in his passing.

"If there was anything that proved that people are sinful and depraved, this has got to be one, don't you think?"
No.
Jerry (God rest his soul, now that he has left this world) was not very kind to a lot of people he considered unholy.
Point is, God loves all people and Jerry didn't get that.
I'm betting he'll be shocked when he see's that there are homosexuals in heaven!

What this actually proves is that if you're mean and bigoted to a certain group of people based on a twisted idea of religion that doesn't actually follow what the teacher taught, you just might find people don't exactly like you.

i am not happy for falwell's failing health. but i am not particularly sad either. he hurt a lot of people with his message, even if he helped others.

Well if he hadn't been such an a** to people outside his narrow litle mind then people wouldn't make fun of him.
It proves nothing other than none of us give a crap about him. He is a teacher of hate and not a very good representative of christianity.
