Can Dogs Drink Tea

Can they? Yes . Should they? Absolutely not. Tea is a diuretic and will make the dog urinate more. No reason for that. The dog doesn't need the caffeine or any sugar that might be in it. Put the dog on a high quality dog food and plain fresh water. That's all the dog needs to be happy and healthy. May I suggest Innova?

My two dog, every morn get a bowl of the same tea I drink, it has been steeped for ten minutes. Then into the bowl I put about 1/2 Tsp sugar, some 1/2 & 1/2 and some tea, then 2 ice cubes and then get it.

Dogs will eat and drink anything. You just have to be diligent about where you place your drinks and food so that your dog doesn't reach the stuff. As for tea, I don't think your dog should drink it. I've caught my dog drinking coffee, beer, and coke because my husband failed to place the containers on a table. No side effects, but the need to use the restroom was very noticeable (my dog wines loudly).

Yes, actually. Check out the "dogs and tea" thread on Dogsey.com. many folks there know and/or have dogs who enjoy tea.

One of our two dogs here has tea every morning -- she asks for it and I splash a little into her dog dish -- and loves it. The other one only asks for a little tea on the occasional cold morning.

Make sure you don't use artificial sweeteners in it, if you give your dog tea, as that is really unhealthful for dogs.

I would never let my dog drink tea. My dog probably has double the energy he should have already.

they can and will drink anything, diluted would be ok i guess you have to take in the consideration the caffein and the effects of such a stimulant.

if i were you i would stick to plain water, cold and fresh!
