I can't stand mine, well just on one side of our house, the other side they are just fine and nice. But this one family they moved in a couple years back, and they are driving my whole family nuts.

First their kid is nuts. He is in middle-school and they let him play around with guns, he makes loud explosion with chemicals, (that actually shake our windows), and he drives their car up and down the driveway no supervision and almost hit someone.

I think we could look past all this but they said some really mean things to my father, the day they moved in, and we really have never looked back. So what do you think of yours?

We generally like them. One lets me pick her herbs without her even around. Another invites us to backyard potlucks. The others bring us stuff from their travels all over the world just for picking up their mail. There is one though who thinks our dog barks too loudly and knocks on our door. She old, it's HER dog that's doing the barking. And the neighbor across the street is cool, he comes over for a beer. And when our dog got out once all the neighbors in our 'hood where helping me find her.

I like our little 'hood. Except for that one ol' biddy.

I could not ask for better neighbors. It is like an extended family. I know when I am not home that they watch for suspicious activity they will watch my children etc. We get together for dinner parties, street parties etc. They are great. Maybe because we all moved in around the same time, it might be different moving into already developed neighborhood. Sorry to hear your neighbors are horrible.

everyone around us is very nice, the couple on one side of us is currently moving out, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed, haha, and the other side, man that guy cuts his grass 2 or 3 times a week, his yard is always immaculate, and ours is not, (not trashy or overgrown or anything, just not landscaped like his) we think it's so funny

I have neighbors one both sides of me that are great. We've all been here for years and we help each other out when we can, share garden produce, watch each others homes when someone is out of town. We are all lucky to have each other.

30 years in this hood, and we know about everyone on the street. A family like your neighbor would not be welcome. You have your friends, some acquaintances, and people you'd rather avoid. Such is life, sometimes people like that need to be confronted.

do you happen to have a neighborhood covenant?

me and mine don't have problems. except for those people who refuse to pen up their dog. and the stupid dog turns over trash cans on trash day and makes a huge mess of the whole alley. and where are they when it's time to clean up that mess? helping the rest of us? nooooooo
