Jesus bore our sins but the phrase "dying for our sins" smacks of Calvinism/fundamentalism where sin is supposed to be "prepaid."

NO!! There is not one shred of evidence it ever happened. The bible is not evidence. Independent sources. The Romans don't mention him, the Jews don't either.

Yes I know that Jesus died for me. When he was up on that cross he had me in mind and as his blood was rolling out on the cross I know that one drop was for my sins and that one drop covered my sins. And in three days he came out of that tomb and joined his father in Heaven.
