We are supposed to even pray for our enemies.

God Bless you!

The article that I read said that Jerry has a history of heart trouble. For someone who is always preaching about the lifestyles of others, I am surprised that he didn't respect the Biblical view that the body is the temple of God -- instead of continually over-eating and bringing more stress to the heart.

Here is a Baptist article about gluttony and the body.

1 Corinthians 3:16, 17 “Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.”

Not liking someone is not a good enough reason to wish ill upon them. I thought about Jerry Falwell. I have no haretd for the guy, he probably did a lot of good for people, and as far as I know, he was responsible for getting the Gospel out. Whatever else he may have done, I hope that God can forgive, as I hope that he can forgive me.

Good point -- my main objection to prayer in many cases -- but still, I believe prayer is in order in this case.

Most Holy Death, mother of Greed, of Waste and of Destruction, receive now unto Yourself this one-balled harpy who has honored You above all others in his heart. Take him up and grant Your swift grace to him who has broken the hope of salvation in his followers, who has extorted and stolen millions, who has melded Church and State for Dubya in Your Holy Name. Most Holy Mother Death, come upon Your servant Jerry, that his pain in passing shall be legendary even in Hell.

This we, the people of the world in disgust united, do most fervently pray. Amen. Ivohe. So may it be.

Today could be a victory, for gays, minorities, and everyone else who just wants to be themselves and live in peace! He is a evil, terrible hypocrite, but yet I can still find it in my heart to say a prayer for him and his family. I am not sad in the least bit. He has brought so much ugly into this world, it is amazing he is still here.

The world will truly be a better place without him. We can only hope that a bit of the hatred, fear, and prejudism that he's been packaging and peddling as "Christianity"- at great profit for himself, and at the expense of others- will die out with him. He truly is an evil individual.

Hey don't knock it. You pray for your lemon of a car don't you? For example, "God I hope this junker makes it to work and back today" (end example).
